Yogurt (top only)

Korean side dishes (glass noodles; kim chi; marinated potato & onion;
wakame salad; marinated tofu; zucchini)

Bulgogi bibimbap with egg

Hot roasted milk tea (30% sweet) with tapioca

sprouted grain bread with Mom's homemade boursin

turkey bacon

Orange-mango-carrot juice

Seaweed snacks

+Not pictured: dinner cooked by a friend (lasagne; garlic bread; Caesar salad; chicken fingers; those addictive "assorted European chocolate biscuits" that come in a big tin; green tea)
+Oh man, I had the munchies something fierce tonight, even after that delicious dinner! Tried to stick with healthy-ish options, but I seriously could have kept eating and eating - not sure why I was so ravenous today.

March 10, 2013

This is the last back-logged post, which means... I'm finally caught up!

organic original soy milk (sweetened)
uh, self-explanatory? "granola thin" with "chocolatey" coating

salad from Hosu (iceberg lettuce, carrot, cucumber, some type of gingery vinaigrette)

grilled mushroom, meatball (??), chicken, with teriyaki/bbq sauce
marinated soybeans; kim chi; spicy marinated potato; glass noodles;
salmon sashimi; white tuna (?) sashimi; coleslaw; bean sprouts; zucchini;
carrots; futo maki; avocado roll; grilled bbq/teriyaki shrimp

iced latte (sweetened); nutella milkshake, whipped cream (shared with Wilson)

dark chocolate hazelnut crepe; coffee ice-cream; vanilla ice-cream (all split with Wilson)

1% milk; chocolately chip Teddy Grahams

veggie medley (broccoli, red and yellow onion, mixed bell peppers, evoo, sea salt, pepper,
Italian seasoning); biscuit*; mac 'n' cheese*; cajun fries*; fried chicken (thigh)*

Bartlett pear

iced sugar cookies; decaf Earl Grey Tea with sweetened condensed milk
(I split the cookies with Wilson and drank about 1/3 of the tea)
*All from Popeyes

Notes: I was so full from the previous night's buffet disaster that I could barely manage to get down my half glass of soy milk for breakfast! Sunday is almost always an intentional cheat day, so even though I got a late start to the eating it certainly was indulgent. So much sugar!! :o Also, I should note that I was not as scrupulous in documenting everything as usual - I had another piece of chicken (a drumstick) for dinner but didn't take a picture, Wilson shared my bento box at lunch (but I also had a little more of his futo maki), I probably mooched about half his nutella milkshake (for obvious reasons!!) and then he drank most of my iced latte, etc.

Still catching up...

Leftover baked oatmeal (see March 6); 1% milk; egg,
organic salted butter, sea salt, pepper

2% milk; tap water with ice; 12" ham sub on honey oat bread with swiss cheese,
lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, pickles, green pepper, red onion,
pepper, light mayo, honey mustard

Leftover shepherd's pie (see March 2)

Banana
1% milk; "chocolatey chip" Teddy Graham cookies

Notes: This was a tough day because I had a horrible morning and was totally plotting a lunch trip to McDonald's (I had coupons and everything!). I knew I'd be eating lunch away from home since I was making a trip to the mall, but when it came down to it I opted for something much healthier (and more filling, since I needed it to last me almost 5 hrs to my next meal). I also was planning to crash at home (after doing a couple hours emergency shift coverage at work) but instead decided to go out to our church fellowship. They were having an Iron Chef cooking competition, but I didn't eat a thing! Yes, I did go home and eat milk and cookies afterwards, but considering all the temptations I successfully avoided today, overall I consider the day a good one.

March 3, 2013

Hellooo, cheat day! :D

Fruit smoothie: banana, frozen wild blueberries, frozen mixed berries
(strawbs, bluebs, raspberries, blackberries), 4% original Balkan yogurt,
1% milk, organic honey (split this with Wilson)

Cold yeen yeung (half coffee, half black tea, mixed with sweetened condensed
milk or cream + sugar, served over ice) - my fave Sunday morning drink!

Pork and vegetable dumpling, steamed (I ate one)

Dza leung (Chinese fried dough stick) wrapped in rice roll
with baby shrimp, green onion, soy sauce

Korean appetizers: crispy seafood pancake; pan-fried beef dumpling;
spicy soy sauce with scallions

Bulgogi bibimbap (see March 1), I ate about half(ish)

Side dishes: marinated bean sprouts; glass noodles; potato/carrot/onion;
seaweed with onion; marinated eggplant
(see March 1 for most of these)

Seconds of seafood pancake with dipping sauce
Seconds of potato; seaweed; glass noodles
More kim chi; seaweed; bean sprouts; glass noodle; eggplant

Beef dumpling; bean sprouts

Thirds of seaweed! (Healthy and SO GOOD!!)

Broken Skor bars (1 piece went to Wilson)

1% milk

Smoked meat poutine; onion rings; dijon dipping sauce

Blackberry milkshake (!!!);
more poutine + rings

BLT croissant with avocado, mayo on the side; fries

Leftovers (finished all the veggies in the sandwich and
about half the croissant, plus a handful of fries -
this is what I left behind)
Peanut butter chocolate milkshake (consumed mostly by Wilson,
who insisted on ordering it, although, to be fair, I had a
decent amount of his orange creamsicle shake,
but sadly forgot to snap a photo of it)

Notes: As you can see, I thoroughly enjoyed myself. That is all. (And quite enough for one week!)
